This latest offering, the Classic Volume #2, continues the tradition of challenging and skill-testing Sudoku puzzles rooted in the classic format that has captivated enthusiasts for decades. The art of solving traditional Sudoku remains rich with complexity, requiring strategic thinking and an openness to discovering new techniques.

Originally popularized by Nikoli, the esteemed Japanese puzzle publisher that introduced Sudoku to a global audience in 1984, this collection features a curated selection of 60 puzzles. We commissioned 20 puzzles directly from Nikoli, aligning with their renowned standards, and have also incorporated 20 unique puzzles created in-house. Additionally, we sourced 20 more puzzles from Sam Cappleman-Lynes, a distinguished British Sudoku expert known for his creative and challenging designs. The result is a diverse pack designed to both entertain and challenge players of varying skill levels.

This release marks the introduction of the latest Sudoku application from Cracking The Cryptic, renowned for its curated approach to puzzle design. Unlike many other apps that rely on algorithmically generated puzzles, our collection showcases handcrafted creations from some of the most respected names in the Sudoku community. Contributors include Phistomefel, Clover, Christoph Seeliger, Richard Stolk, jovi_al, Qodec, Prasanna Seshadri, along with familiar channel personalities Simon and Mark.

Users downloading Cracking the Cryptic will gain immediate access to our introductory free collection—a selection of seven puzzles conceived by Prasanna Seshadri. These puzzles draw inspiration from our previous apps such as Sandwich, Classic, Chess, Thermo, Miracle, Killer, and Arrow Sudoku. Furthermore, the app offers additional purchasable packs catering to a range of skill levels and featuring innovative variants not previously available.
